Just my 2 cents, flame me, because i dont give a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO.
I checked your old posts and realized that we joined the academy, probably at the same time, 10-15 September. The difference between you and me was that I had a different view about joining the academy. I knew about LBS long before he even started his project. I knew he had a name in game, "famous" or whatever you want to call it.

I was already a decent runner, who had all the necessary information and skill to work alone. My truth intension was actually to have the chance to Be certified by an awesome runner, who many people trust in his judgement and honesty. In a way to "get a name on guru" as a runner of good calibre and in game. My second intension was to have the ability to work under him and get all these high end-customers.
I felt that I had the experience and patience that I deserved and should be paid for all the hours and hours, I spend helping others, while I could either farm, play with friends or anything else.

The reason why I am saying this is obviously you "gave up" directly and
didn't give effort to either the manual or getting more in game help from LBS.

And about the enrollment tuition (pretty much all my savings in my storage) that I paid and didn't know what to expect. Was it the right the decision or not? At that point, I had no idea.. after almost 3 month within the academy and [LBS], I can say, I even swear.. that was my greatest decision in guildwars. And did I earn the enrollment tuition back? The forgemaster will have a new customer next week and I will not be the runner for once

The conclusion of this replay is to point out that nothing is served by itself, if you don't pretend to take effort of the chance and hard work.
You will likely achieve nothing, either in game or in real life.

sincerely

-Elita-

It's the GWG forum's auto profanity filter... all swear words are covered up with "RED ENGINE GO!"

3 Months of running and you're only now getting FoW armor? Oh my god. That's insanity....what have you been spending the cash on?! If you guys get as much business as you say, you must be buying perfect 15>50 weapons every day...that or LBS taxes 70% of what you earn.

Maybe rethink that sentence, you attorney you. I will pay you to run me through a Guild Battle or a PvP fight. That'd be great value for money. Also, while you're at it, can you run me to HoH? I'm too lazy to get there myself, and you seem to be good at running. Maybe you can win it a few times with your 'uber secret max special haxxxx running skillzzzzz!!11!1"

It's the swear filter.. so if i say f*ck, it will go RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO.

P.S. Taking 2 months to get FoW armor is pretty slow . Took me only 4 days to farm it.

I made the stupidest post award? In that case you are awarded Stupidest Person award. Do you speak english? If you answered yes, then do you know of the word 'sarcasm'? That a bit hard for you? There's very good sites where you can find out the definition. Here's some help:

www.dictionary.com

Or, if that's too hard, here's another.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm

Those should help you. Once you know the meaning, then you are allowed to speak again.

@talon.

I'm not sure where that second snippet of your post in question really came from, but that's probably because it's early in the morning for me and I'm missing some blatant joke. But making statements like, 'why don't you run me to HoH' really doesn't have any bearing on the current topic and/or discussion, sarcastic or not.

FoW in 4 days is possible, I did it before, I don't know if I could do it again with all the nerfs, but Elita doesn't run straight for her own profits, she buys a lot of other stuff to share with her friends etc. If she was buying for herself only, it probably would've taken a much shorter time. I was with her the other night when she was working a client through all 3 RoF missions for 200k or 300k (can't remember), only took a little over 90 minutes for the first two, the last one can be henched in under an hour easily.

I don't see too many services out their offering to hench your low level characters with guaranteed success through late game missions while you go afk and do whatever it is you do.

I've already told you, some people WILL get more out of the academy then others. But that's the nature of a lot of things.

Have I made any money since I joined the academy? No, I've actually wasted about 500k since tuition on buying useless things or getting suckered by Raine into running FoW chests with him>.>

Have I become a better runner since I joined the academy? No, not really noticably, maybe a little bit :P

Have I had more clients since I joined the academy? No, but I haven't exactly been looking... mostly been doing titan quests again.

However, I don't feel like I've wasted the tuition, I got to meet some great people and help teach some of their new students how to run. It's very satisfying imo.

Yes, you certainly did. There's not even the slightest hint of sarcasm in your post, only blatant stupidity. You really have been practicing for years haven't you?

As for farming in four days, maybe 24X7 then, but I'm glad I have a life outside the game.

Actually Hockster, it's more like 12 hours a day. Max. And you aren't contributing much to this thread, so you shouldn't jump in where you have no understanding.

You must STILL have problems with sarcasm. You think I don't understand what I wrote? Of course I did. I was pointing out that this is a RUNNING ACADEMY, and that doesn't mean that you can just jump into PvP and GvG and be good at it, which Blue Steel was saying. Read up on past posts Hockster. It would help.

As opposed to your amazingly great contributions? Best one you couold make is to just go away. You clearly have no clue. Go read the first post as well, there's a hell of a lot more than just running. I know it's a difficult concept for your one track mind to follow, but just give it a shot.

@talon.

It IS a running academy, but the members do have other interests

I'm r6 twice over almost (about 900 fame on my second acct) XD, Blurr PvPs regularly, so do a few of the other members. In all honesty, LBSRA behaves just like any other guild except there's a lot of member interaction on the topic of running.

Please, lets try to keep it a somewhat civil discussion and not tear at each other with personal attacks over misunderstandings.

Seriously, that was a poor argument. I have always been learned to save money and don't spend all your fortune on a single investment, a larger big one, talking about FoW armor. I would have got FoW armor a long time ago. Instead I bought the necessary items that I wanted before even thinking of throwing the money in the Forgemaster sink.

So why rush? I rather have 1 million in storage, than zero after buying FoW Armor.

I'm convinced our detractors are the illiterate ones. I hate to sound rude, but I can think of no other explanation. I said "A few people don't think I'm all that great, and I'm fine with that. I don't think I'm all that great either." And the response? "You guys sure are arrogant, you should try some humility."

What?

Later I comment that our service is running people "on demand" and we leave other interests we could be pursuing like PvP, UW, FoW, etc. to come help people even if we would rather be doing those things. The response, "What makes you think a runner would be any good at PvP? Your sentence doesn't even make sense!"

Where do theses people come from, these people who cannot even read context before and after a sentence? Did I ever say we were good at PvP? Some of us are unbelievably talented at PvP (dreamex2), but not me: I haven't played it much. Proof again that there are people in the game who excel more than me in various areas and that "I'm not so great."

So relax, have a little fun, try informing yourself before attacking, follow the examples of Mr. Happycakes and Toast, and please don't begrudge a large group of people who have great fun, massive wealth, and provide a significant service in the game. Who would you want to hang out with and play a game with: Toast and Happycakes, who make you laugh, are honest in their dealings, and make everything fun (even if they may suffer from some mental impairment or another ) and noble champions like Elita Coldheart, or would you rather hang out with people who are jealous, complaining, and accusatory all the time?

We are just here to have fun and help people. Is that so wrong?
